Bahia Principe San Juan a la carte Restaurant & Menu - Part 2 (La Dolce Vita) - January 2016

Please see part 1 for information that applies to all a la carte restaurants at the resort.

la Dolce Vita
This is the entrance to the restaurant.  Please note this is not enclosed so you know how to dress.  When we went (this pic is not taken that day) it was raining a lot.  We were in the middle but the overhang is over far enough not to affect patrons.  Water was dripping in areas and there were towels on the floor to catch water and prevent spills.

This restaurant is not full sit down.  As you see from the picture directly above, you go to the buffet to select your appetizers and dessert.  All you have to do is choose your main course.

I chose a small pizza, grilled zucchini, one ravioli, shrimp, squid and fish tempura.  I am not much of a fish eater (though the resort is full of fish) but the fish tempura was very good.  The pizza is a cross between bread and a biscuit texture.  Not too keen on it.   Welcome drink was yellow and strawberry daiquiri as usual.

My husband's appetizer plate.

I chose the lasagna bolognese.  Not bad considering the pasta is the usual gumminess.

My husband chose the four seasons pizza.  It was huge.  He could only eat half.

We had ice cream again for dessert so no need to take a pic.  Just know their ice cream is nice and creamy when it is nice and cold and firm.
